Hello Members,
I have a compass from Soviet-plane during WW2. I would like to identify from what aeroplane it is taken of, and do you identify the magnteic compass type? I think that compass is made by russians, but the strange thing is to me that why there is latin letters in the front of the gauges display. Could it be some old german model?
I know that this is off topic issue but I hope that you might have some knowledge about my matter.

The mounted Light-Bulb Housing, the Tube itself ,on North Position looks more or less, British to me. Also the "E" for east- points as you mentioned to a Western Hemisphere Production.
Due the fact it is not made for "in" panel- and also its Conection on the right & left , which seems to be part of " the swing-mount" (if it is not hollow for other use/cable/heating
....................it was made also possibly for a small underboard bridge everywhere positioned--on a small boat.
The Deviation Device-type, if there is one, screwed under /on could tell if it is for Highly Ferrous surrounding..or not...
