does anybody know how to remove the bottom knob (the one with "Aus" written on it) ?
I have unscrewed the three screws, but the knob is still solid in place, any idea how to remove it?
Thanks

Hi Alex,
the knob is hold by a pin in the upper part.
The screws are only holding a plate that is fixing
the knob in its position.
Be carefull! I wouldn't remove it - the neck of
the knob is breaking very easy.

Thank you Reiner,
I would like to remove it because the knob is a bit bent and probably the assembly also is a bit bent, since the knob doesn't rotate perfectly. Is it really hard then?
There is a letter and number painted on the side, it's P16, do you know what that means?

Hi Oliver,
Here are some pictures: the axis is straight, but if rotate the knob it looks like the knob is bent, it's like the support it is attached to is bent.

Hello Alex,
can you send please a pictures of these: "letter and number painted on the side, it's P16"?
I think, the answer of Reiner is correct.

Hi Oliver,
sure, I attached another one.
Now the interesting thing is that the previous owner said that this particular Revi had been removed from a Macchi 205, which as far as I know is possible, since the ANR used also German equipment for their aircraft, and the Luftwaffe had a small batch of Macchi 205s in the late war period.
It's interesting because the painted letters would also suggest this gunsight might have been used on a Luftwaffe fighter aircraft before (as the electrical circuit letters would suggest), and might have then been "recycled" to be used in a Macchi 205.
What do you guys think?

Hi Alex,
The board net call sign "P16 " points unambiguously to the use in a German airplane. "P " stands, on this occasion, always for the arming arrangement.
Whether Revi was really inserted in Italian Macchi, I cannot say with firmness, because the Italians own Revis had.
regards
Oliver

Hi all,
I have a revi 16B with the electrical code P11 written. I know that P stands for weapon/armament but what does the number represent, P16 or P11?
Does someone know?
Oliver, here is a picture of a Macchi 205 with a Revi C12 :-)

going back to my idea of disassembly, would it be easier if I removed the whole bottom plate?

there MUST be a way to disassemble it.

Hello,
regarding the device number P16:
This is always depending on the type of the plane, where it was used. P stands for a part for the armament and is always the same for all german planes, but the number is different from plane to plane and represents the number used in the circuti diagram.
See example for the 109G:

Ok, so P11 stands for the 109. My revi 16B (one glass version) is supposed to come from a late war 109 G10 so it looks correct
Do you know P16? Could it be Fw 190?
